Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint™ Lacquer is a durable, hard-wearing, water-based polyacrylic lacquer with built-in UV protection. Designed specifically for use over Chalk Paint™, it provides a robust finish that withstands daily wear, making it ideal for dining tables, outdoor furniture, floors, and skirting boards. It applies completely clear and dries quickly without yellowing over time.

Matt Lacquer:

Gloss Lacquer:

• Lightly glossy finish – elegant without being excessively shiny
• Enhances colours – intensifies and brightens Chalk Paint™ shades
• Ideal for – tables, kitchen furniture, contemporary projects

How to apply Chalk Paint™ Lacquer:

1. Prepare the surface – make sure the Chalk Paint™ is completely dry (at least 24 hours)
2. Stir the lacquer thoroughly – mix before use
3. Apply with a brush – use a quality brush in the direction of the grain
4. Thin coats – several thin coats are better than one thick coat
5. Allow to dry – 2-4 hours between coats
6. Sand lightly – between coats with fine-grit sandpaper (optional for an ultra-smooth finish)
7. Apply 2-3 coats – for optimal protection
